Chris Blount was a well-respected band leader and clarinet player from the 1950s onwards. This

current band was four years old at the time of the recording in 1996 at The Grosvenor Hotel in

Nottingham, England. All the players on this disc are fine in their own right, but as an ensemble

they are exceptional and the effect is wonderful.
