In Love With Ekphrasy

"Looking back, I know I`ve always wanted to be a pilot. Funny though, the way things turned out. A pilot must have a 20/20 vision. I have a 200/200 vision full of words, of poems and letters. Of reading books, and stories and verses. It must have been destiny. Life showing me what I am meant to be and not what I want to be. As fate would have it, I became fascinated with writing as I am fascinated with reading. It is the same fascination that has prompted me to write. Looks like still words are seeking for freedom where someplace they were somehow contained. "And so, the silenced water now overflows with the river of thoughts that can only be ebbed through expression. Whereas reading is the union of the mind, writing becomes the child. Whereas reading being the seed, writing becomes the fruit. Everything that I write, these are the seeds of my loneliness. The fruits now are ripe, and fresh, and it heals. That when I sampled a bite, it cured of the loneliness and the pain. I then remember the bud who wanted to be in bloom, the bird who wanted to touch the sky. I am now bearing fruits. I am now flying. I am now looking at the world with open eyes."This book contains a collection of various paintings which I used as themes for my ekphrastic poetry. To everyone who loves art, this combination of painting and poetry book presents an invitation into the many moods and colors of artistic souls, both of me, the author, and the painters to whom belongs the masterpieces wherein I drew my inspiration to write. This book can also serve as guide to literature students in their pursue on furthering their knowledge and appreciation of the arts.
