A Sheltered Song in Baltimore

After months of speculation, the Senate has voted to impeach the president under crimes of treason, bribery, and other high crimes and misdemeanors. On that very same day, several Baltimore City Police Officers were exonerated for the death of a young African American man while in their custody...again. The Nation is in turmoil, and Baltimore City is in the center of a perfect storm of civil unrest. Trapped in a building located near growing protests, one man explores pivotal events in life and the City of Baltimore that led to this moment. Along with a handful of co-workers from all walks of life, he draws upon previous experiences to navigate through these crossroads and to assist in forging a path toward the future. Circumstances prompt him to reflect on his life, starting from the earliest memories of his childhood in Baltimore during the end of the civil rights movement, and leading up to his life today. This semi-autobiogaphical story spans the life of a man and the family and friends who left an impact on him along the way. It examines one person's basic pursuit of happiness, acceptance, and sense of purpose through the battlefield of life and the infinite healing powers of the heart and mind.
